Also often referred to as “cosmetic bonding”, composite bonding involves the application of a tooth-coloured resin material to the teeth. This substance is then aesthetically shaped before being hardened with a special light, resulting in a durable tooth repair and improved appearance.
The treatment can be used to repair chipped teeth, close spaces, or correct discolouration. As well as enhancing the edges of teeth, we also offer composite veneers. These cover the whole front face of teeth, and are a more cost-effective alternative to porcelain veneers.

Edge bonding is a procedure that involves applying a tooth-coloured resin to the edges of the teeth. This helps to fix chipped teeth, correct unevenness, and close small gaps.
This minimally invasive technique can provide immediate, natural-looking results.
Composite veneers are thin, custom-made shells of tooth-coloured resin. These cosmetic coverings are bonded to the front of the teeth to mask imperfections such as chips, gaps, stains, or uneven shapes.
With a composite veneer treatment, an aesthetic improvement can be achieved without the need for major enamel removal.
Following a consultation, the treatment itself begins with the tooth surface being slightly roughened.
The dentist then applies the resin, shapes it, hardens it with an ultraviolet (UV) light, and polishes it. This is all typically done in just one appointment.
With good care, composite veneers will typically last from five to seven years.
The exact longevity of composite bonding will depend on such factors as diet, oral hygiene, and whether the given individual tends to grind their teeth.
