Beautiful natural-looking smiles
Dental veneers are thin, custom-made shells designed to cover the front face of teeth to improve their appearance. Made from porcelain or composite resin and bonded to the surface, veneers can correct a wide range of aesthetic issues such as discoloured, chipped, or cracked teeth.
As an alternative to laboratory-made veneers, we can create and fit same-day veneers in a single appointment using CEREC technology. We also offer ultra-thin, no-prep veneers, for a less invasive and often reversible option.
The lifespan of veneers largely depends on the material. Porcelain veneers can last around 10 to 15 years. For composite veneers, longevity of about five to seven years is typical before they will need to be replaced or repaired.
Proper oral hygiene and care can greatly help extend the lifespan of veneers.
Veneers should not damage your teeth if the treatment is carried out by a qualified cosmetic dentist.
The procedure for traditional porcelain veneers includes the removal of a thin layer of enamel, which is permanent. If you choose no-prep veneers, your natural tooth structure will be preserved.
The process for fitting dental veneers is not considered painful.
For traditional porcelain veneers, which involve the removal of a small amount of enamel from the teeth, an anaesthetic can be used. The fitting of composite or no-prep veneers doesn’t typically cause any pain at all.
Veneers cannot be whitened once they are fitted.
If you desire a whiter smile, please discuss this with our cosmetic dentist beforehand, as any whitening treatments will need to be done before you get veneers.
You should take the same care over your veneers as you would for natural teeth. So, you should make sure you brush twice a day, floss daily, and attend regular check-ups.
To prevent damage, avoid biting hard foods and objects. If you have a habit of grinding your teeth, you may also consider using a night guard.
